Artist note: “This drawing reflects on the blurry edge between what we hold within and the world that surrounds us. Inspired by traditional South Korean painting, the tiger’s frustrated bite and twisted form suggest an inner turmoil, grappling with something just out of reach. As it moves through tangled, overgrown brush, the landscape begins to mirror its unrest. Above, a lone magpie watches in stillness, a quiet witness to the struggle below. In the distance, a bear trap lies hidden in the scene -- a silent symbol of consequence or maybe inevitability.."
